CONTROVERSIAL plans to build a house in a Droitwich street - met with fierce objection twice before - are back on the planning agenda.
More than a dozen people objected to plans to build a two-bedroom house next to 24 Kingston Close and the plans were thrown out twice.
But the developers have remained defiant and have now lodged an appeal with The Planning Inspectorate.
The proposed property backs on to Newland Road from where access to the property is planned. But residents claim this would be dangerous as the road is already well used.
"This is a very busy road with children crossing and to add any more access roads would be dangerous," said Newland Road resident Stephanie Vale.
The area has also recently been designated as a cycle route and there are concerns that the new access would cause a hazard to cyclists.
And councillors at Wychavon District Council agreed, twice rejecting the application, despite no objections from the highways department.
Councillors claimed the proposals were an over-development of the site and would affect the amenities of the area.
The developers are now hoping The Planning Inspectorate will overturn this decision and allow the development.
They claim that one more house would not create any significant increase in traffic compared with the recent development of a Tesco Express store nearby.
Objectors now have until Thursday, March 17, to make their feelings known to the inspectorate by writing to:
The Planning Inspectorate, 3/08b Kite Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6PN.
