AS a frequent visitor to the Malvern Hills, particularly the walks on and around the Worcestershire Way, I would like to make a nomination for 'Malvern Grot Spot'.
The photograph above shows a fence erected along a portion of the Worcester-shire Way as delineated on a map taken from 'Walks around Leigh and Bransford' published jointly by Worcestershire County Council and the Countryside Agency.
The area is designated as one of outstanding natural beauty and is adjacent to the Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve.
I am truly disappointed to find that Old Storridge, which promised much as an idyllic hamlet with historical value, was spoilt by this horrible fence made of black weed impeder material and flimsy battens which ran for well over 500 metres.
I won't be tempted to visit that particular circular walk again!
