MALVERN Girls' College welcomed two visiting lacrosse teams from Howard High School and Atholton High School in Baltimore, USA.
Twenty-seven girls (aged 14-17) and twelve parents stayed with the families of students at Malvern Girls' College last weekend to play lacrosse and sample the English countryside and culture.
This was a return visit following a trip to the USA last Easter by lacrosse players at Malvern Girls' College. Lacrosse is an important sport in America, played by both men and women of all ages.
The teams took part in a tournament at the weekend which was enjoyed by all.
The visitors then carried on their tour by travelling to Bedford to play more lacrosse and then onto London for some sightseeing and a show.
Jackie Marks, PE teacher at the college, said: "We all had an excellent weekend and we were pleased to be able to repay the hospitality that we received on our trip to America last Easter. The girls also really benefited from this wider experience."
