FAST-rising indie rockers Razorlight are set to crash into the area with a performance in Wolverhampton as part of a UK tour.
Formed in 2002 around singer/guitarist Johnny Borrell - Razorlight exploded onto the UK music scene in 2004 with the release of their debut album Up All Night, which featured in many end-of-year Best of 2004 Album polls.
The group consists of Londoner Borrell, Swedish ex-pat' guitarist Bjrn gren, drummer Christian Smith-Pancorvo and gren's old pal Carl Dalemo on bass guitar.
Upon its release, Up All Night attracted comparisons with the likes of The Strokes, Television and Patti Smith.
Vocal problems
And the band - which recently had to postpone gig dates due to singer Borrell's vocal problems - are now set to release new single Somewhere Else in March as a precursor to the follow-up album.
Fans can catch them before then at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Sunday, March 20.
Tickets, which went on sale earlier this month, are priced £15 and available from the midland box office on 01902 55 21 21.
Also performing at the venue the week before - on Sunday, March 13 - are indie band The Wonder Stuff - famed for hits in the late 80s and mid 90s such as Welcome to the Cheap Seats and The Size of a Cow.
September 2004 saw the release of the group's first studio album in 11 years - Escape From Rubbish Land.
Tickets for the show are priced £16.50 and are available by calling 01905 552121.
