BUS drivers are just a bunch of old romantics at heart.
Not only has the ParishLINK service - connecting Worcester's outlying villages to the city centre - been extended to include a service on Valentine's Day, but trips are free for the entire week too.
The evening service, which connects Broadheath, Hallow, Grimley, Sinton Green, Monkwood, Wichenford and Martley to Worcester city centre, usually runs from Wednesday to Saturday, but - especially for Valentine's Day - it will ferry travellers tonight and tomorrow too.
Tickets for the bus, which is funded by the Countryside Agency, normally cost £1, or £5 for a book of 10.
"The bus service is intended to bring people into Worcester who, without public transport, are rurally isolated," said Michele Jones, the rural transport officer for Malvern Hills.
"We hope many people will take advantage of this free offer for the bus, which drops people off in St John's and the Crowngate Bus Station."
