A WORCESTER drag racing team has enjoyed more success by adding another trophy to their collection.
The Top Banana father and son duo of Brian and Lee Huxley), aged 62 and 37, have landed the Avon Park Racing Association Pro ET Championships.
Based in Henwick Road, the team recorded one victory and several high placed finishes over the quarter-mile track in their 1932 Ford Roadster during a five-race series at Long Marston, near Stratford-upon-Avon. That gave them enough points for the title ahead of 34 other cars.
Brian, who collected the award with Lee in Bristol, said they were not as pleased with the result as in other years but still happy to win.
He said: "Over the years we have picked up a couple of trophies. We are happy but hope to do better this year."
The new season starts next month.
