A WORCESTERSHIRE pub is hosting a "real horse racing" night in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice Appeal and a Tsunami Fishermen Appeal.
The event will involve six different coloured handmade horses, which will race down a skittle alley as volunteers throw dice to decide which horse moves and how far.
"Most people who have attended a horse-racing evening are used to just watching a video - we have gone one further and have hand-made and painted wooden horses," said Lance Bower, who came up with the idea.
There will be six races on the night at The Railway Inn at Ripple, which is near to junction 1 of the M50. More than 20 horses have already been sponsored raising more than £250.
