EMPLOYEES at Sun Valley Foods have donated £1,277 to the British Red Cross to help aid victims of the Asian tsunami.
And parent company Cargill has matched the money raised to double the donation to a grand total of £2,554.
The money was raised at a company coffee morning for which staff baked cakes and biscuits. Buckets were also placed around the canteens and staff shop to collect donations.
The Hereford-based company also donated proceeds from its charity Christmas raffle to the cause.
"After seeing the continual devastation over the Christmas period, as a company we wanted to help in some way," said Gail Colley, event organiser.
