ROMANTIC Worcester residents got in the mood for love as Saint Valentine cast his spell across the Faithful City.
The most popular books hired out from Worcester Library on St Valentine's Day were Gone with the Wind and Dr Zhivago and the most popular film was Love Actually.
And the most romantic of Mills and Boone novels to be whisked from the shelves was The Bride Wore Tie-Dye.
All this week, Worcestershire's libraries will be playing matchmaker in an attempt to find residents their perfect partner.
Residents who describe their likes and dislikes to library staff will be arranged a date with their ideal book, film or album.
"This initiative is going to be a lot of fun and it's very exciting," said library services manager Cathy Evans.
"There's more to libraries than books and everyone who's involved is hoping for a week-long festival of romance between users and libraries."
