BLUE bands will be shining out from a pitch of white as Worcestershire cricketers step out at New Road sporting their tsunami Wishbands.
Some of the county's top sportsmen have pledged their support to the Evening News Wishband campaign to raise £22,500 for the victims of the Boxing Day disaster.
Worcestershire Cricket Club and its players said they were delighted to get involved in the fund-raising effort and snapped up a batch of bands.
"Everyone has seen the images and been affected by the terrible scenes," said batsman Stephen Peters.
"This seems like a great way of raising money to help ease the suffering. If people dig deep into their pockets and buy one of these bands we will all be making a difference."
The aquamarine bands are now on sale at schools, newsagents and at the Evening News offices for a minimum donation of £1.50 each.
Thousands have already been sold so make sure you get yours before they all go and wear it with pride.
