CHADDESLEY Corbett put up a spirited display at in their 1-1 draw at Atherstone, coming home with a well-earned point, which with a little more luck could have been three.
The West Mids League Division Two side had to play with less than a full complement for the third time this season but still did enough to cause Atherstone problems .
Atherstone started the brighter of the two sides in very windy conditions and were unfortunate to have a goal disallowed after striking home the rebound from a short corner. Very few players spotted an infringement but luckily for Chaddesley the umpire did.
The hosts persevered and took the lead midway through the first half. Chaddesley responded well and halfway through the second half they got the equaliser they deserved when Matt Boden fired home from a short corner.
The best chances to win the match went Chaddesley's way with Matt Boden missing from a yard out and Sam Boden denied by the keeper late on.
Chaddesley host Aston University at 3.30pm on Saturday.
