CLEOBURY Mortimer men's hopes of keeping up the pressure on West Midlands Men's Volleyball League division one leaders Wombourne were dashed with a home defeat to the pacesetters.
After a successful week with wins over Tamworth B and Telford in the cup and league respectively, a weakened Cleobury side suffered a 3-1 reverse.
With their main objective of staying up already achieved there was no real pressure on them as they went down 20-25, 21-20, 25-8, 15-25.
Despite the result, Cleobury were happy with the performance and are looking forward to their next big challenge against Persian Phoenix.
