TENNIS: A record number of teams entered into the Prudden Road Surfacing Tennis League for the coming season have forced the league to open up another division.
Last season's record breaking number of teams has once again been topped with more clubs from Claverdon, Ardencote Manor, Harbury, Snitterfield and Whitnash.
A fourth division will be formed to accommodate the new teams.
The league will hold it's AGM on Tuesday, February 22 at 7.30pm, at the Royal British Legion Club, Bidford-on-Avon.
The league continues to be backed by the Redditch company Prudden Road Surfacing. Asphalt Express, Redditch have also agreed to donate £50 cheques to each division winner the proceeds to be used to promote junior tennis.
Tony King of Alcester has again promised financial backing for the annual Floodlit Tournament for the 15th year in a row.
All clubs wishing to enter the league in 2005 are required under the rules to send a representative to the AGM.
