WITH Kidderminster Harriers Ladies' match at Stoke City postponed, attention turned to their reserves who were beaten 2-1 at Worcestershire County League leaders Worcester City.
In muddy conditions, Harriers' mid-table seconds took the game to their high-flying hosts and opened the scoring on seven minutes when Sam Rogers fired home from 15 yards.
With play switching from end to end, Kidderminster had chances through Kirsty Roberts and Rachel Baldwin, while keeper Rachel Cannock was called upon to be alert at the other end.
Midway through the first half Worcester equalised when Steff Smitt broke clear to score.
Rogers rounded the Worcester keeper on the stroke of half time, only to fire into the side netting, so it remained all square at the break.
The home side came out with all guns blazing after the interval and Smitt found time and space to add her second goal four minutes into the second half.
And but for a brilliant goalline clearance from Tracey Evans, Worcester could have soon added a third when a poor goal kick put Louise Holmes through on goal.
The reserves host Malvern at 2pm on Sunday, while the firsts return to action in the County Cup semi final at home to Headless Cross, at the same time.
Burlish Olympic's Kidderminster Hospital semi final tie at Headless Cross Reserves was postponed because of the weather and they have another free Sunday this weekend.
