Droitwich Spa 1 Chelmsley Town 2
A STRING of errors ensured Spa slipped to their second straight defeat in the Midland Combination Division Two on Saturday.
Droitwich produced their most disjointed performance of the season to hamper their promotion chances.
Richie Robinson handed Spa the lead with a header in the first half.
However, an error by goalkeeper Nick West handed Chelmsley the equaliser.
West's weak kick fell straight to a Chelmsley striker, who made no mistake by scoring.
Things went from bad to worse when a mix-up between defenders Tom Saunders and Damon Harris allowed Chelmsley to grab the winner.
Chairman Dave West said: "We weren't at the races at all.
"We did not gel as a team and it was one of our worst performances for a long time.
"Nick got a bit of stick from the lads because of his error, but he's been fine for us all season and mistakes can happen."
