MIDFIELD stalwart Mark Benbow reached another landmark for Bromsgrove Rovers by making his 200th appearance for the club in Saturday's home win over Egham.
Benbow, who has won over the fans with his whole-hearted performances, was presented with a bottle of Champagne by chairman Tom Herbert before the match.
The bustling midfielder promised the fans the team were determined to win promotion from the Southern League Division One West.
He said: "The fans have experienced a higher standard of football and it's only natural that they want it again.
"All the players here are doing their best to make sure promotion happens this season."
Benbow, in his fifth season, now lies 21st in Rovers recorded appearances table.
However, he has some way to go to surpass record holder Shaun O'Meara, who made 763 appearances for Rovers.
Herbert paid tribute the Benbow's all action style.
He said: "Mark never gives up and has a tremendous appetite for the game."
Benbow has had two spells at the club, signing for Steve Daley in 2000, before returning a second time in 2002 after playing for Australian outfit Joondalup and Redditch United.
