STOURPORT Swifts chairman Chris Reynolds has hailed the form of on-loan youngster Dan Bragoli as a bright spot during the club's recent rut.

While the Walshes Meadow men have struggled to pick up points in the last few weeks, the Shrewsbury Town midfielder has continued to impress.

"I think he's only 18 but it looks like he's going to be a very good player," said Reynolds.

"We've got him on loan from Shrewsbury on a month to month basis and hopefully he'll stay until the end of the season.

"He's good in the air, got a good engine which takes him from box to box and he's really bright.

"He wants to win and is very competitive which is half the battle with any footballer."

Swifts have been given a boost with the news that Bryan Small's injury might not be as bad as first feared.

The former Aston Villa full back has missed most of the season with suspected cruciate trouble.

But after seeing a specialist it has emerged that he may only need minor surgery to remove floating bone or cartilage.

Meanwhile, Swifts are desperate to return to winning ways at home to Cinderford Town on Saturday.

"We've got to be careful that we don't get dragged too far down the table," added Reynolds.
