TOWNSFOLK can find out how refurbishment work at an historic Droitwich Spa church is progressing at an open day this weekend.
Cannon Sheila Banyard, of St Andrew's Church, is inviting residents through the doors this Saturday between 9.30am and 1pm.
The St Andrew's Street church has been closed since the end of last year while vital repair work takes place on its roof.
Ms Banyard said: "The morning will be one way of saying thank you to people who have helped us fund the roof repairs as they will be able to come and see what is actually happening.
"The work will still not finish until just before Easter but the builders are making the church available to us for this one morning so that people can come in and look round."
There will also be an exhibition of photographs showing the work in progress and members of the clergy who can talk about the project. Refreshments will also be served.
Visitors will also have a chance to make a donation to the repair work, which is costing more than £100,000.
