JAMES ADIE led Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletic Club's team home as they secured promotion to the Birmingham Cross-Country League Division Two.
Adie was the highest finisher from B&R, crossing the line in seventh at Chelmsley Wood.
The team sealed an immediate return to Division Two by finishing third in the final meeting and second overall in the table behind Warwick University.
Adie finished the nine kilometre course in 35 minutes and 22 seconds.
Kevin Lanckham followed in 16th place, finishing in 36.51mins.
Dave Henderson, 18, showed promise in his second senior race by finishing in 22nd place and recording a time of 37.15mins.
Steve Clewes finished the event in 39.06mins and crossed the line in 43rd place, followed by Ian Keyte in 46th (39.35mins).
Barry Cooke finished the event in 40.51mins to come 65th, while Phil Anderson finished ten places behind in the 41.47mins).
The club's cross-country runners will test their mettle once again when they compete in the National Cross Country Championships at Cofton Park, Birmingham, on Saturday.
More the 2,000 athletes are set to battle it out over a 12 kilometre course.
It's the first time the venue has held the championships (3pm start).
