IT WAS business as usual as the top two cruised to victory in the Bromsgrove and RedditchTable Tennis League Division One.
Defending champions Lickey Monarchs have found a worthy contender for their title this season in Cofton Hackett B, but kept the pressure on them by defeating Astwood Bank 10-0.
The team of Ray Norton, Mervyn Wood and Eric Hardman were too strong for Bank as they won all their matches.
Hackett though were also in excellent form and got the better of bottom side Hillcrest 9-1.
Roger Ellerington was West Midlands Phones' man of the match in their 8-2 win over Droitwich B.
Ellerington won three singles matches to spur Phones to victory, while Colin Would and Don Shillingford won two matches each.
Would and Ellerington also won the doubles, while Graham Fisher and Simon Tibke won one match each for Droitwich.
Droitwich A went down 9-1 to Coughton, after three wins each for Mick Kendall and Terry Rawlins.
In Division Two Studley Road Terriers defeated Barnt Green Hornets 7-3, with Mike Kirwan winning three matches.
Carter Retail came from 4-2 down to beat Lickey Rocs 6-4.
Phil Govier won three matches as SPSP got the better of Studley Road Nomads 6-4, while Bernie Leach won two for the Nomads.
West Midlands Phones C defeated Droitwich C 6-4.
Spa's D team beat the club's E team, with Nick Ross (3) and Andy Ross (2) victorious.
