SO district council leader Stephen Clee now writes about "pride" (Letters, February 3) does he? Well, he really fails to understand that the small schools that may become casualties of the schools review truly don't deserve to be caught up in its mess.
Stone C of E First School is one of these high-performing schools and Mr Clee knows the school well, for he is the local councillor and yet he has done nothing to help in our fight to keep it open.
On the contrary, he seems to actually support its closure with little regard for local villagers and parents who want their children to attend this wonderful church school.
Is this something he is proud of? We have until March 1 to write again in support of our schools. Let's hope that this time we are listened to, not patronised or ignored as before.
