THE final council tax bills for people living in the Vale of Evesham and Broadway are expected by the end of this week.
Bills are made up of payments to Worcestershire County Council, Wychavon District Council and the police and fire authorities as well as town and parish councils.
By far the biggest proportion of the council tax bill goes to the County Council which is being recommended to approve adding £32.50 to the current Band D property charge of £824.
Wychavon District Council is expected to set a band D charge of £96.30, an increase of £2.35.
Hereford and Worcester Fire Brigade increased its charge on a Band D property to just under £60 from the current figure of £56.48 and West Mercia Police Authority precept has gone up by 4.92 per cent, representing an 11p per week addition to the average B and D council tax payer
The overall increase is likely to be slightly above the rate of inflation but nowhere near the 11 per cent rise announced last month by Seven Trent Water. This increases the Band D water bill from £221 to £253.
