ON A Warwickshire Avon that was more than a foot in flood, Saturday's final round of the Fisheasy Teams League was fished on Ham-pton Ferry and Evesham Town Waters.
Ten teams of six fought for the coveted title of Fisheasy Team champions on a day when the individual winner was B McDonal, fishing for Team Quorn from Leicestershire who, fishing off Ferry peg 47, weighed in 7lbs and 8ozs comprising a bream and some bits.
Shakespeare angler Rob Middleton was second from Ferry peg 65 with a mixed bag weighing 6lbs.
Pershore's Ian Shepherd was third from Town peg 30 with 3lbs and 14ozs.
Sensas Nomads from Cardiff were the team victors with 41 points to see off the challenge of W B Clarke Van den Eynde.
The overall individual winner for the series was a tie on 45 points between match organiser Dave Wright (24.3.4) and Shepherd (31.8.8) who was crowned the champion on overall weight and he will be asked to fish in the Wychavon Championships at the Evesham Festival in August.
The overall team after fishing six matches and being allowed to drop the worst result was Shakespeare with nine points who picked up the £600 prize the reward for becoming Fisheasy Hampton Ferry Winter League champions.
They too will be invited to fish in the Midland Angler Team Championships over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Diawa Gordon League finished second with 12 points to win the £360 prize, while W B Clarke finished third three points further adrift for the £240 prize.

EDAA Winter League
DUE to a flooded River Avon the fourth round match was fished at the Jubilee fishery.
Gary Seadon fishing for Jubilee Gold came out on top from peg 39 with 6.14.0 of small carp and roach.
Second was Mick Hands with 5.13.0, third Steve Rogers 3.14.0, and fourth Barry Stayte 3.9.0.
Jubilee Silver again topped the team event with EWMC second and Jubilee Bronze third.
On Saturday the May Vince Vase will be fished on Town and Common waters, draw at Ferry 9am. Book in at local tackle shops.
