SIXTH-FORMERS Dan Antonelli, Joe Newcome, and Chris Hesketh have returned to their roots in mini-rugby to help in the training of the Bredon Buzzards Under-10s.
With more than 28 years of rugby playing experience between them, the boys are fashioning the next generation of players.
Antonelli is head boy of Prince Henry's High School and is captain of the Evesham school's rugby team. He was a nine-year-old when he first played for the Buzzards.
The teenager captained Bredon's Under-16 winning side in South Africa in 2003 and has also represented Worcestershire, North Midlands and has had Midlands trials at Under 15, 16 and 18 levels.
He currently plays for Worcester Under-19s and has made occasional appearances for the village club's senior side - Bredon Star.
Hesketh, also a pupil at Prince Henry's, has played at Bredon since joining as an 11-year-old.
He has also represented Worce-stershire, North Midlands and the Midlands and was invited for a final trial with the England Under-16s squad. He also turns out for Bredon Star.
Newcome is a sixth-former at Kings School in Worcester where he captains the first XV. He first played for the Buzzards as an eight-year-old.
All three boys were part of the club's Under-16s team that visited South Africa in 2003 when they won the Collegians International Festival in Durban.
The Under-10s age group plays nine a-side rugby with three in the scrum and no kicking.
The emphasis is on enjoyment and the players are encouraged to enjoy the physical skills of running, passing and evasion.
More new faces are needed for this Year 5 , so if you would like to be trained by the best, then contact team manager Jennifer Waite on 01242 620655, who is organising training sessions over the next few weeks for all newcomers.
