I WAS under the impression that it was illegal to drive along with a mobile phone glued to one's ear.
Why then, do I keep passing all manner of drivers still doing so? Even people driving articulated lorries on the motorway!
And where are the police when I get overtaken in a 30mph zone by some muppet who is probably doing nearer 50mph?
I must admit to recently breaking the law myself while behind the wheel of my car - thanks to some nice young officer pulling me over, telling me and issuing me with a fine.
My crime? Not wearing my seatbelt. OK, I know it's the law, but surely the only person I am endangering when I am in my car on my own, is me - and is that not my choice?
