YOUR correspondents Mr James and Mr Wornham suggest road safety measures.
On which planet do they live? Mr James should spend a while standing by a stop sign (it means stop!) He could count the number of drivers who comply on the fingers of one hand.
The police now have the equipment to enforce the law, but they don't bother to use it properly.
Traffic law enforcement is the sort of job that the police could deal with "before breakfast."
And new cars with navigation systems could easily be modified so that they could not exceed maximum speed limits.
