A FOOTBALL-mad youngster, who put his love of the sport on paper, has scooped a prize in a reporting competition run by a national newspaper.
Nine-year-old Comberton First School pupil, Bradley Gibbons, finished runner-up in The Guardian's Young Reporter contest after his teacher submitted a report he had written on a match played by the under-nines football team he captains.
Sue Childs, the PE co-ordinator, said she was delighted with Bradley's achievement, which won him a bag of goodies, including notepads and pens.
Bradley, who supports Chelsea, said he was pleased and surprised.
"My friends were all pleased with me and my mum and dad were happy as well," he added.
