THE tussle for superiority at the top of the table took another turn when leaders Stanton Club lost out at Campden RBL.
Bryn Evans top scored for the top side with 49 but 48 from the ever-consistent Bob Pitcher helped steer the home side to a six-point victory.
Offenham RBL are the new leaders, in what is proving to be the closest championship chase for many years, after 48 from Ami Lewis helped dismiss the challenge of Wickhamford SSC for whom three players - Nick Taylor, Phil Nicholls and Dennis Pike - all recorded a score of 46.
Badsey RBL are level on points with Offenham after a comfortable defeat of Nomads with Barry Davies hitting 49 for the winners.
The Legion's neighbours, Rec Club, failed to do them a favour when losing out to title-chasing Lygon Arms by 14 shots. Ian Harwood was the top game's top shot with 49.
The battle of the bottom two ended with a third win of the campaign for Bengeworth SSC who had 40 points to spare over winless New Inn.
