THE 20th anniversary of Staunton and District Over-60s Club was celebrated with a party with music supplied by Jim Pratt of Hartpury.
At a recent meeting, the club was visited by staff from Sheppard House, Newent to tell members how valuable their work is to the community. It is not only the daily club at Newent but also Dial a Ride shopping trips.
Nan Bevan, leader of Staunton and District Over-60s Club, and the committee are to be congratulated for the continued success of such a valuable amenity, with members from Maisemore, Hartpury and Ashleworth.
Some of the older children from Staunton and Corse CE Primary School, together with their teachers and other members of the congregation, were welcomed to the Ash Wednesday service of holy communion held at Staunton Parish Church. Canon John Evans conducted the service and talked to the children about the service of holy communion.
