PLANS to improve NHS dental services in Malvern, including two new dental practices, have been revealed.
The news comes after people queued outside Parsons Dental Care, Worcester Road, last week after it announced it was offering 200 NHS places.
South Worcestershire Primary Care Trust is currently in negotiation with two dentists about the creation of two new practices in the area.
The PCT has access to a £500,000 fund to help finance the development.
It has received approval of funding to develop a further local dental practice later this year and two fully qualified Polish dentists have arrived in Malvern and will be working at the Osborne Road dental access centre after a short period of training.
Mike Ridley, PCT chairman, said it was driving forward plans to improve access to NHS dentists.
He added a search for premises for the new dental practices was under way and the PCT would like to hear from any property owner willing to sell or rent a site. Anyone who can help should call 01905 760048.
