How can any councillor be so naive as to complain that to collect ticket money "once the travellers have moved on" is a problem, as did Barry Ashton over the Lawnside Road car park invasion (Ledbury Reporter, February 11).
Surely, the most obvious and simplest means to collect was to use wheel clamps. After all, Monday to Thursday gave plenty of time for such action to be organised and to list all the registration numbers of the vehicles involved. Perhaps I am naive.
Would such action entail several committee meetings to decide whether it would be 'politically correct' or not to do so? I would like to think not.
Come on councillors, appraise any such situations in future and act at once. No problem to moan about then.
