MALVERN Referees' Society will be holding their next meeting on Sunday (February 20) at the Civil Service Club, Pickersleigh Road, starting at 7.30pm.
The topic for the evening will be child protection awareness - a subject the FA are taking seriously and will result in all referees requiring to complete a child protection questionnaire in order to be eligible to referee from season 2005/06.
All local referees are welcome to attend and to participate in this topic, which will be led by local FA licensed referee instructor Adam Watts.
The society would also like to congratulate four of their members on receiving Worcestershire FA Cup semi-final appointments. Paul Fowler will referee the Sunday Minor Cup semi-final when Defford & Besford United meet Bretforton Sports OB, assisted by David Roberts and Peter Daffin.
Simon Bellotti will referee the other tie in this competition between Bredon and Harriers Trust, with the fixtures taking place on Sunday, February 27.
