NEW seven-day tickets for all of Malvern Hills District Council's long-stay car parks could be introduced.

The council's executive committee is being recommended to make the change at a meeting on Tuesday (February 22).

Since June, seven-day tickets costing £3 have been available for car parks at Victoria Road and Church Street.

The trial period showed a "modest demand" and a report says extending the scheme would have no significant financial implications.

Also on the agenda is a review of the council's scheme to sell subsidised composters.

Nearly 400 composters were sold in the last four months, when prices were cut from £10 to £5. This represents about double the sales rate. The committee is being recommended to budget £6,700 to keep the subsidised scheme going in 2005/6.

The committee is also being asked to endorse the Liveability project, which will bring in £67,000 for the St Wulstan's nature reserve, Malvern Wells, for improvement work.
