Career advice, makeovers and safety tips are on offer to lone parents during a free two-week course in Malvern.
The Big Brother project runs from Monday, February 21, at the Training Station, Great Malvern Station.
Topics covered during the two weeks are confidence building, dressing for success, balancing work and family, budgeting and jobs and training opportunities.
Parents will also be given safety advice from the police and the fire service and can enjoy a make-over and shopping trip.
The project is organised by Worcester- based Inspire to Independence, in conjunction with Job Centre Plus in the two counties.
Project manager Angela Hunt said: "There are a lot of lone parents, not only in the two counties but across the country.
"We know that a lot of them feel daunted about things like getting a job."
She said the workshops helped parents tackle the barriers they may face in getting training or jobs.
She said: "We looked at everything from how to get financial help to finding good childcare and links to local employers, and wanted to offer people help in all sorts of areas."
Ms Hunt said the course also helped people to look and feel good by offering a makeover and shopping trip.
"We want to build people's confidence for their future work and training," she explained.
"There can be little things that sometimes become big barriers to lone parents."
The course is open to lone parents who have been unemployed for more than six months.
It runs from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Creche facilities are available during the course.
