MALVERN sisters Sarah and Laura Penny will be flying high to raise money for a school in Honduras.
The pair's parachute jump on March 19 will raise funds towards a new engine for the school boat.
Sarah, of Malvern Link, works for conservation charity Operation Wallacea and learnt of the children's plight when she visited the school to teach them about sea turtles.
She said the engine on the island school boat was broken and, until enough money could be raised for a new one, children were risking drowning by travelling to school in kayaks.
"I'm raising money to get them to school safely," she said.
If enough funds are raised then Operation Wallacea will also help buy more solar panels for the school to increase its electricity supply and ensure its one computer runs for more than 15 minutes each day.
Sarah has asked pupils at Somers Park and Twyning primary schools to write to the Honduran pupils and The Lamb in West Malvern is also raising funds for the appeal.
Anyone that would like to sponsor the sisters should contact Sarah on 07967 739442.
