SORRY, but I burst out laughing when I read recently in the Evening News that The Times has assessed Worcester Racecourse as the "worst in the country".
This is so much in keeping with the Faithful City generally - the mess of a High Street, schools of relatively recent construction, now crumbling, the rotten bus service, hooliganism, lack of provision for the elderly and so on.
I suppose there are good things about Worcester - but one certainly has to look hard for them!
D E MARGRETT,
Worcester.
