MIKE Dabrowski proved to be a hot shot after winning the fifth Worcester YMCA Pool Competition.
The 22-year-old resident of the Henwick Road centre in St John's walked away with a £25 gift voucher from Woolworths, the Champions Cup, his name engraved on the Pool Championship Shield and, of course, the right to gloat.
He admitted to being a little nervous in the final, which he won three frames to one, but he still had confidence in his skills.
"I don't play for fun. I play to win," he said.
As for the next competition, Mike's message to those trying to de-throne him is: "Bring on all challengers."
More than 60 residents and staff entered the competition, which began in October 2004. The final was played at the centre on Friday, February 11.
