SCORES of youngsters from city youth clubs enjoyed a wacky half term thanks to a £3,000 Lottery grant for a special activities day.
Worcester Action for Youth organised a bundle of activities including human table football, gladiator bouts and theatrical make-up sessions for 150 city youngsters aged between 11 and16.
The special away day was held at Perdiswell Young People's Club, on Droitwich Road, Perdiswell, last Thursday.
As a finale to the day's activities, the nearby Bowl Xtreme was booked for an hour's bowling at the end of the day.
"It was an absolutely brilliant day," said WAFY administrator, Gina Meredith. "The kids really enjoyed it."
, and there were lots of different things for them to do and try out."
The funding came from the National Lottery's Awards for All scheme. As well as putting on the fun, the money also provided free transport and lunch.
"It was a great success, and hopefully we will be putting on a few more days like this in the future," added Ms Meredith.
