REGARDING 4x4 vehicles (Evening News, Wednesday, February 9) has Mr Hunt seen ramblers leaving litter?
I am a rambler, and in my experience, genuine ramblers do not leave litter, nor do they churn up the surface of the countryside or pollute the air with noise and fumes.
Mr Hunt mentions freedom of choice. Who for? Certainly not for anyone who wants to enjoy fresh air, bird song, peace and quiet, all of which are lost as soon as any vehicle powered by the internal combustion engine appears.
Mr Hunt, if you want to enjoy the countryside, do so on foot, and leave your 4x4 where it belongs - on the road.
