WORCESTER fund-raiser Sue Medcalf made a real splash when she launched the start of a new campaign to raise more than £400,000 for Cancer Research UK.
The aim is for the public to hold a breakfast fund-raising session. All they need to do is contact the charity and they will be sent a fund-raising pack.
"There are lots of ways people can get involved, from holding a pyjama party or midnight feast, to simply hosting a breakfast with neighbours or work colleagues," said Sue, who works for Cancer Research UK.
"Breakfasts can take place at any time of the day or night and we have lots of great themed ideas if people want to contact us.
"We're trying to encourage people to eat healthy breakfasts because our research shows that eating five portions of fruit and vegetables a day can reduce your risk of cancer."
The launch of Britain's Biggest Breakfast in the city took place at the Cancer Research UK shop in The Cross.
Thousands of people across the UK are expected to join in the fun throughout March.
