THE Ullenhall Players are bringing their successful production, It Runs in the Family, to the Palace Theatre for a short run, beginning today.
Written by Ray Cooney and directed by Adam Schumacher, the highly acclaimed farce is set in the doctors' common room of St Andrew's Hospital, where Dr David Mortimore, played by Robert Eccleston, is preparing for his speech at the prestigious Ponsonby Lecture, which could earn him a knighthood.
However, in the manner of farce, on the same day an old flame turns up, accompanied by the 18-year-old result of their flings in the sluice room. Much hilarity ensues involving Mortimore's colleagues, their patients, a dog, a dead mother, the police, the Himalayas and a number 34 bus.
It Runs in the Family runs until Saturday with performances at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £7 (£6 concessions, £5 Reddicard) from 65203.
