THE Kingfishers had to do some last minute calling around to get a game on Saturday after Birmingham Exiles cried off at the last minute.
Droitwich seconds answered the call but would only play a Redditch Development Squad rather than the full first team.
A team which included a handful of first team players as well as six 18-year-olds dominated from the start and ran in six tries to end the match 33-0 winners.
Joe Alenka, Phil Goddard, Colin Bryant and Edwin Grey were the try scorers and man of the match awards went to teenage stars Aaron Cooke playing hooker and Lee Middleton playing number ten who converted all but one try.
"It really showed the quality of the youngsters we have got coming through," said team manager Steve Moore.
Redditch will be hoping to resume league action on Saturday as they travel to neighbours Woodrush.
Moore added: "We're confident of winning every game we go in to but local derbies are a different type of game and one I think which will be very tight."
Redditch seconds played at Bromsgrove Road and entertained Harborne thirds team who they overcame 61-5.
