Bromsgrove Rovers Reserves 2 Worcester City Reserves 1
ROVERS cemented their place at the top of the Midland Combination Reserve Division with a priceless win over their derby rivals.
Victory ensured that Rovers maintained their four point lead over second placed Rushall Olympic.
In a quiet first half Rovers had the best chances to score, with Courteney Shaw shooting straight at the goalkeeper.
The game roared into life in the second half when winger Jamie Hyde came on for Paul Footes.
Shaw and Hyde combined to cause trouble in Worcester's box and Michael McGrath scored from 18-yards out.
Goalkeeper Michael Hollis saved a Worcester free-kick, but City equalised minutes later.
Rovers pushed for the winner and in the dying minutes of injury time Shaun Maynard headed in Barry Richards' cross.
