WE have read in your paper that Wychavon District Council wishes to demolish the Droitwich lido.

We are against the idea and during the past week we have put together a petition - 'Do you want to save the Lido?' We have passed it round to many pupils in our school, Westacre Middle, to sign.

If the lido were refurbished then most of the 250 people that have signed our petition would use the pool regularly during the summer.

We feel very strongly about this because we know several people, who have very good memories of the lido when it was in use. We hope that the Council will take our views into consideration
