LOCAL teams produced strong performances in the Worcester Winter League's second round on Saturday.
Bromsgrove Swimming Club finished runners-up behind leaders Perry Beeches A, while Droitwich Dolphins were close behind in third place.
Bromsgrove were impressive throughout the gala, finishing in the top two places in over half the races.
Bromsgrove made a strong start in the gala, with the 6x1 relay team of Alice Alton, Joe Wright, Ellie Williams, Steve Muddiman, Hollie Aldridge and Dan Scarr finished second.
Muddiman enjoyed more success when he won the under-11s 50 metre freestyle and butterfly events, while Scarr was victorious in the 50m breaststroke.
Emily McNally finished third in the under-25s 100m freestyle, while Chloe Daplyn came fourth in the 50m breaststroke.
William Newton won the under-11s 50m backstroke in a time of 40.09 seconds.
Bromsgrove's under-13s 6x1 relay team of Vicky Law, Richie Edmunds, Katy Masters, Will Baker and Phillipa Thomas finished runners-up.
Law then won the under-13s 100m freestyle race.
In the under-15s age section the 6x1 relay the team of Lizzie Sydenham, Ben Doran, Kirsty Rosthill, Anthony Shipton Emily McNally and Tom Mansell finished behind Perry Beeches.
Alice Woodyatt won the under-13s 100m butterfly in an impressive time of one minute and 11.66 seconds.
Connor Simmons was second in the under-13s breaststroke and Kevin Wall was runner-up in the under-15s 100m backstroke.
Lisa Harrison won the open 100m breaststroke in one minute and 18.31secs, while Stuart Corbett completed the men's event in second place.
In the final event of the evening Bromsgrove's 6x1 open relay team of Harrison, Simon Smith, Laura Ashford, Neil Goodman, Matt Hooper and Lucie Edmunds were victorious.
Fierce Worcestershire rivals Droitwich Dolphins finished one place behind Bromsgrove after a string of impressive performance.
Fiona Watt was second in the under-15s freestyle race, while Seb Mann was runner-up in the under-11s backstroke.
David Fisher was second in the under-15s breaststroke.
Sophie Cave was pipped into the runners-up spot in the under-11s breaststroke and Ben Rimmington finished the boys' event in the same position.
In the final relay Droitwich's team of Charlotte Llewellyn, Fiona Watt, Rachel Roberts, Steve Snaape, Lee Hall-Anniston and Joe Hobbis ensured a Worcestershire top two by following winners Bromsgrove in second place.
