THE second half of the 2004/2005 season of meetings organised by the Redditch & Alcester Group of the GWR started well, with Colin Bennet presenting a slide show called Steam and Diesel in the Midlands.
Local steam shots ranged from an open day at the Long Marston MOD Depot to the regular steam trains running through his home village of Wilmcote.
The diesel photos included many unusual freight and passenger train workings.
A number of shots illustrated the dramatic changes that have taken place at some rail locations over the years.
