THE club began the year on January 7 by joining with Rotary and other charity groups in Alcester to collect money for the tsunami disaster appeal.
Inner Wheel members manned the pitch in the middle of Alcester High Street from 9.30am until 3.30pm.
A total of £2,610 was raised.
Inner Wheel Day on January 10 was celebrated with lunch at the home of president Sheila Girvan.
Twenty-eight members and friends enjoyed bangers and mash followed by coffee and shortbread.
A total of £120 was raised for the Air Ambulance Association.
At the January meeting, Bev Bevan took members on an interesting journey around Birmingham with slides and commentary.
This included some slides of Victorian architecture right through to present-day construction, including the new Bullring and Selfridges.
