A man who was arrested trying to steal tools from a Redditch shopping centre has been jailed for a month.
But because the offence was committed while Andrew Cooper was out on licence, Judge David McEvoy QC ordered him to also serve the unexpired 200 days of his previous sentence.
Cooper, aged 27, of Leamore, Walsall, who pleaded guilty to attempted theft, was caught by security staff at the Kingfisher Centre.
Abigail Nixon, defending at Worcester Crown Court, said Cooper only committed offences when he was bored.
She conceded he had an appalling record but had become free of drugs while in prison.
