A GO-GETTING granddad is preparing to jump 15,000ft out of an aeroplane to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice.
Bob Eaton is due to do his tandem free-fall jump on Saturday, March 19, in Shropshire.
The 66-year-old retired civil engineer from Bewdley said he has already raised £2,000 in sponsorship but was hoping to increase this "as much as possible".
Over the past six years, the grandfather-of-four and his family have already raised £14,500 for Acorns in memory of Bob's youngest son David who was killed in a motorbike accident in 1999.
Previous fund-raising efforts include a mammoth 10,000-mile four-month Land Rover journey with his son Richard - who works as a photographer with the Evening News - from Oman to Bewdley via Saudia Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. To sponsor Bob call 01386 554848.
