THE battle for the Gilt Edge Short Mat Bowling League title is hotting up with just three games remaining.
Realistically it should be either Tornadoes or Telly Tubbies who are crowned champions.
But with 18 points plus any hot shots up for grabs it could be any one of six teams.
After this week's games Tornadoes have 137 points, Telly Tubbies 131, Invincibles 126, One for the Road 121 with Brintons and Blakedown on 120.
Both Tornadoes and Just for Fun struggled for form in the first half of their game, but Tornadoes took control in the second half and ran out 29-7 winners.
Telly Tubbies had a fright in the first half of their game with Breakaways and it was only a lucky one on the last end that saved them dropping points.
However they got their act together in the last five ends of the game and won 20-13.
Third placed Invincibles made no mistakes against Wribbenhall, winning the first half easily 13-2 and going on to take the second 7-4.
One for the Road had a tight first half just winning it 8-6 against Squirrel, in the second they ran riot taking it 17-1.
Blakedown also had a good win when playing Crusaders. They took the first half 14-6 but were even more impressive in the second winning 16-7.
Stourport were well in control after five ends in their game against Brintons at 10-1 up, but seemed to lose concentration and lost 11-10.
They had a tighter second half, drawing 7-7 with a two on the last end. Untouchables struggled against Aces losing the first half 20-5, before improving to clinch the second 11-2.
